From 23 to 27 December 2023, ATILIM GYM was the venue for the WinterCamp’23, a seminar for ATILIM assistants and instructors, led by Sifu AKIN, the founder and chief instructor of ATILIM. He instructed the participants on the first five student levels of ATILIM WingTsun, which include the fundamental techniques, principles, and applications of this martial art.
The seminar was open to both aspiring and experienced assistants and instructors, who had the chance to learn from Sifu AKIN and each other, as well as to improve their skills and knowledge. The seminar also offered various teaching methods and tips to help the participants to better train and guide ATILIM students.
Each day from 25 to 27 December, participants also tested the online training platform of DigiLEAD, a European Union co-funded project that aims to help adult sports coaches to develop a digital transformation strategy. ATILIM is the leading partner of the project, along with other educational institutions and organizations from Norway, Estonia, and Türkiye.
Sifu AKIN introduced the main goals and results of the DigiLead project, and showed the attendees how to use the online education portal, which provides free digital tools and resources for coaches. Participants tested the platform in detail and provided their feedback on the platform at the end of each day. Feedbacks evaluated by the project partners and deemed corrections and updates are done accordingly.
The seminar and the dissemination event at ATILIM GYM were both lively and interactive, as the attendees could ask questions, share their views, and test some of the tools. The event also generated interest and awareness in the DigiLead project and its advantages for adult sports coaches.
The WinterCamp’23 and the DigiLead event were both fruitful and enjoyable events, that highlighted the expertise and vision of Sifu AKIN and ATILIM. The events also fostered the network and cooperation among the instructors.
